LOCAL HONEY FOR SALE!

Back by popular demand is our locally produced honey.  Mmmm , what a treat.  I can understand why Pooh Bear can't resist this deliciously, delectable treat!

Honey is collected for a short time during the year and I am hoping that pwe will have a steady supply. while you can, because supplies are limited for this reason.

We are excited to announce that we have honey  from Honey Hill honey that comes from Wayne, Illinois which is sold in 12 oz. honey bears, 16 oz. jars up to 2 and 3 lbs.
Some people buy it to sweeten their tea, to soothe sore throats or to give away because honey makes a great gift.  Many people use it to keep their allergies at bay.  Me?  I just like it.

FUN FACT:  Did you know that every batch of honey has a flavor that is unique to the flowers that the bees collected from.  Early honey is generally lighter in color than late summer/fall  honey.

Honey does not go bad, it simply crystallizes.  If that happens, do not put it in the microwave.  Bring a pot of water to a boil and remove it from the heat.  Set your jar of honey in the water and let it set overnight.  It will be back to a liquid state in time for your morning cup of tea.

This is not just any honey!  These bees have the best recipe.  The collect from wildflowers growing at the forest edge, a wildflower meadow and the sweet flowers of a raspberry patch. Deliciously delectable.
